A hair and makeup preview, often called a bridal trial is a dedicated appointment where we create and refine your chosen look before your wedding or special event.

It gives us time to understand your personal style, preferences, skin, hair and comfort level. Together, we can make thoughtful adjustments so your final look feels completely like you.

A preview also allows you to build trust with your artist and feel relaxed, prepared and confident before the day.

There are two main reasons you may choose to have a preview before your event:

1. You are still deciding on your makeup artist and would like to experience their style and approach before confirming your booking.

2. You are happy with your chosen artist and would like to see your complete look come to life. A preview allows you to bring your hair and makeup together, refine the details, and ensure you feel completely confident in your chosen look.

We recommend bringing your veil, headpiece, hair accessories, earrings, and jewellery so you can see how everything works together. Wearing a top in a similar colour and neckline to your outfit will also give you a more realistic impression of how your finished look will appear on the day.

We recommend booking your preview approximately two months before your event. By this stage, your hair length and skin tone will be more representative of how they are likely to be on the day, particularly if you are planning a summer wedding and would otherwise be having your preview during winter.

Your dress, flowers, accessories, and overall vision are also more likely to be finalised, allowing us to create a look that works beautifully with every element. As styles and plans can change considerably, we generally don’t recommend having a preview a year in advance.

Please note that previews are available Monday to Thursday only. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer preview appointments on Fridays or weekends.

We recommend scheduling your preview closer to your event date, when your hair, skin tone, outfit, and overall vision are most likely to reflect how they will appear on the day. Please bring your veil, headpiece, or any other hair accessories so we can incorporate them into your finished look.

Your preview is also an opportunity to plan the finer details of your day. We will discuss:

• Your timeline and venue

• The services and preferred looks for other members of your party

• Pre-event beauty preparation

• How to prepare your hair the evening before

• Any remaining questions, concerns, or special requirements

By the end of your preview, we aim to have everything carefully planned so your event day feels calm, seamless, and enjoyable.
